Compass Middle School Intramural Sport Announcement; Support NEEDED!

Many of you have heard about the Middle School Intramural Sports Program that we will be having this year.

Sondra Morris, our Head of School at Compass-Midtown, has been working hard toward providing this opportunity for our students. Our families have longed for more clubs and organizations for their students, as well as opportunities to support the schools by providing extracurricular activities for their kids beyond school hours.

This will be the first year for this, and it will need support. Below, I’m sharing two opportunities.

First is our Middle School Intramural Coordinator position. There will be a coordinator at each K-8 campus. For more information, please click the link.

Secondly, we have our Volunteer Interest Form (click here). We will need help supporting the three sports we’re offering this year: cross country, basketball, and soccer. This form is open to anyone- teachers, faculty, staff, parents, community partners, etc.- who would like more information on coaching, helping with events, etc. I also encourage you to share this with parents, your friends/families that want to support this important development opportunity for our students.

Again, I’m so excited about this addition to the Mission and Vision of Compass. Extracurricular opportunities, like being on a sports team, were such an important part of my development, and offering that opportunity to our students is very important to me. I know that many of you feel the same way.  If there are any questions, please reach out to Sondra (smorris@compassmemphis.org) or me. More information to come soon.
