We will begin accepting applications for the 2026-27 school year on October 1, 2025, at 8:00 a.m. The lottery for the 2026-27 school year is scheduled for December 11, 2025. After the lottery seats are filled, all remaining seats will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. For more information about enrollment, please contact our main office at 901.618.7422.

If you are interested in a seat for this school year (2025-26), please contact the campus of your choice. There are limited seats available at our Binghampton, Frayser, Orange Mound, and Midtown campuses.

How to Apply

We’re always excited to help new students get enrolled. Whether you are an existing Compass student or will be new to the Compass family, the admissions process begins in the fall, one year before the projected school year of entry (Fall 2025 for the 2026-27 school year).

Current Students

Current Student re-enrollment will close November 2025.  Current students will submit their documents to return after April 1, 2026.
*Call your campus office, and the school secretary can assist you.

New Students

Eligibility for Enrollment

Our Enrollment Policy

Application to, and enrollment in, the school will be open to students who live within Tennessee, in accordance with Tennessee State law. We value diversity and inclusivity; we will not discriminate on the basis of gender, race, color, creed, religion, national origin, ancestry, home language, housing status, disability, or need for special education services. We believe that every child can learn and achieve regardless of socio- economic status, ethnicity, disability, or academic achievement. Every student – no matter his/her academic, personal, and/or home situations – will be afforded equal opportunity to enroll and attend the school.

How to Secure your Spot

After the lottery, you will be notified if your child has a seat at one of our six campuses. You MUST ACCEPT your seat before 2/27/2026. If you do not accept your seat, it will go to the next child in line.

Once you have accepted your seat, your child’s spot is secured until the end of registration. Use this time to prepare your registration documents. You will be contacted by a school representative with details.

Required Documentation

Certified copy of student’s birth certificate (not the mother’s copy).

  • Document 2

Signed copy of student’s shot records.  Here is a sample *Shot records must be on the TN Immunization Form and signed by your healthcare provider.

  • Document 3

Two approved proofs of residence dated within the last 60 days.
Current MLGW bill or municipal water bill

  1. Lease/rental agreement
  2. Mortgage statement/deed
  3. Public assistance/government benefits
  4. Real estate tax receipt
  5. Shared residence verification (ask your campus secretary) *This is only necessary when 2 other proofs of residence are not possible.
  • Document 4

Copy of the parent/guardian’s valid driver’s license or state-issued ID.

  • Document 5

Copy of student’s most current grades or recent report card.*This is not required for Kindergarten.
